"La Manga" Costa Calida

La Manga in the Costa Calida, a place that nature has converted into a virtual paradise. There are few places in the world where this privilege is doubled by geographic and environment aspect and La Manga is one of them. La Manga is surrounded by two seas. A double reward for the area. On one side of this narrow 21 km long strip of land is served by Mar Menor sea and the other by Mediterranean sea. The beaches are beautiful and have now been given the blue flag - safe for children. The area enjoys warm waters rich in salts and iodine. The area offers salt marshes with flamingos, natural parks, salt lakes, farms, mountains and  small beautiful villages  The temperatures both in summer and winters are much desired for through out the year.

La Manga is well served by road, railway and airports. Towards the north is Alicante Airport approx. 75 minutes by motorway and  Murcia airport approx. 25 minutes away. Both airports have scheduled flights to Europe. It has fast access and easy distance to major towns like Murcia and Cartagena.

Their gastronomic specialty is fish and shellfish freshly taken from the sea, prepared on hotplates, or as ingredients in the locally famous Caldero, a typical rice dish of the local fishermen.
